“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.” Albert Einstein

Life is the first gift, love is the second, and understanding the third.

"I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air. - Nathaniel Hawthorne

Autumn

You know summer is saying her final goodbye when the leaves turn from green to yellow and then others turn into orange, red or even purple. You breathe in the crisp air and notice the sweet aroma of summer has turned into the smell of autumn.......What a lovely time of year....Diane

Praying Mantis Meanings in the Realms of Animal Symbolism

The mantis comes to us when we need peace, quiet and calm in our lives. Usually the mantis makes an appearance when we've flooded our lives with so much business, activity, or chaos that we can no longer hear the still small voice within us because of the external din we've created.

After observing this creature for any length of time you can see why the symbolism of the praying mantis deals with stillness and patience. The mantis takes her time, and lives her life at her own silent pace.

A quick-list of praying mantis symbolism:

Stillness
Awareness
Creativity
Patience
Mindful
Calm
Balance
Intuition

These traits have lead the mantis to be a symbol of meditation and contemplation. In fact, in China, the mantis has long been honored for her mindful movements.

The mantis never makes a move unless she is 100% positive it is the right thing for her to do. This is a message to us to contemplate and be sure our minds and souls all agree together about the choices we are making in our lives.

Overwhelmingly in most cultures the mantis is a symbol of stillness. As such, she is an ambassador from the animal kingdom giving testimony to the benefits of meditation, and calming our minds.

An appearance from the mantis is a message to be still, go within, meditate, get quite and reach a place of calm. It may also a sign for you to be more mindful of the choices you are making and confirm that these choices are congruent.

Allow Your Own Inner Light to Guide You

Allow Your Own Inner Light to Guide You

There comes a time when you must stand alone.

You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams.

You must be willing to make sacrifices.

You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.

Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.

There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.

Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.

Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.

Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.

Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.

Work hard at what you like to do and try to overcome all obstacles

Laugh at your mistakes and praise yourself for learning from them

Pick some flowers and appreciate the beauty of nature

Say hello to strangers and enjoy the people you know

Don't be afraid to show your emotions laughing and crying make you feel better

Love your friends and family with your entire being they are the most important part of your life

Feel the calmness on a quiet sunny day

Find a rainbow and live your world of dreams always remember life is better than it seems

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

Today we Remember I Welcome Thoughts....Sharing some Input from friends about 9/11 Peter Gabriel - Don't Give Up - So

1st Comment~ By: Kate Mulholland Pittsburgh Pa; I was working out of town at the time. At one point, I just got in the car and started driving around East Palestine, Ohio. NPR said radio stations all across Great Britan were playing this song:peter gabriel - Don't Give Up - So

By: Diane Masi We know 9/11 changed the face of America..where as other countries have long lived under terrorism, bomb threats, war, and militant, we did not In the USA....the Impact on me, was that on what we would think would be a typical ordinary morning, changed~ I learned that we can never take anything or anybody for granted.~ that we must always stay In the moment, say what we honestly need to say, good or bad. Do what we need to do in the present.

One morning changed many lives. My heart wrenched for those losing lives, & loved ones~I could not believe this day came In America. It was hours & days of disbelief.

I was very saddened by the tragedy of discontentment towards the USA In dealing with foreign matters, that peace would erupt In violence senselessly, violence toward any country, "Is unacceptable" ~ Nations need to ban together In Peace on this Planet, we are all humans~ wanting the same dignity of life, and precious lives needs to be valued......Peace Love & Respect Is needed towards all Nations...Violence Is never the answer~ Love breeds love, hate breeds hate~

Can you help me out, looking for contemplations to post for my blog, of how It changed your thinking, or just your thoughts In general of how this affected you personally. I would really love to hear from you & place your thoughts down to share. Also anyone feel free to comment below...Thanks, Diane

And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. ~Lee Greenwood

America the Beautiful - Ray Charles / Amazing Grace - Steve Vai

My favorite American Song

When an American says that he loves his country, he means not only that he loves the New England hills, the prairies glistening in the sun, the wide and rising plains, the great mountains, and the sea. He means that he loves an inner air, an inner light in which freedom lives and in which a man can draw the breath of self-respect. ~Adlai Stevenson
