Stay true to who you have always have been, don't change for others... I have never really changed in who I am, even in times of transition ~ A small example: I turn down lots of invitations, am not much for small talk and spending nights or days going places I do not want to be...I feel my free time is very valuable and I have always chose how I spend my my free time wisely, and while I appreciate my many friends, I am not here to see how many I can accumulate...and while I also enjoy the many friendships I have (and it is really nice knowing them) I like to very much limit my time that is free to be spent mostly with family only, occasionally seeing few very close friends when I can..I love my quiet time ~ love spending it listening to music, writing, being in and enjoying nature, also sometimes watching movies...Never been big on being somewhere just to fit in socially, or engaging in small talk or going to dinners when I don't want to be there with random people....Always stay true to who you are, it is amazing the gift of inner peace...Have a wonderful day or night~Diane

Anyone can hold a grudge, but it takes a person with character to forgive. When you forgive, you release yourself from a painful burden. Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was OK, and it doesn't mean that person should still be welcome in your life. It just means you have made peace with the pain, and are ready to let it go. - Unknown

Everyday heroes are people who do what needs to be done, when It needs done, regardless of the consequences. I consider myself an everyday hero. I consider all of you out there everyday heroes. Why? Because those who live an honorable life, earning their own living (honorably) not those who are lazy and take or just mooch from others, those who get up everyday to help others, or those who just show up period, those who take care of their families daily and defend them to the hilt (God forbid anyone get in your way) those who try in little ways daily... cooking, shopping, cleaning, doing the best they can everyday, even when tired, just to provide....those who go to school everyday to educate to make a better life for themselves...those who help people and animals, those who know struggle and pain but just keep on going, those who even in exhaustion show up for everything, everyday.... I value these amazing everyday heroes. I value myself, I consider myself an ordinary everyday hero as I know I give all I can, all of me, in every way possible, just as you do too. After all we are the one's who looks at ourselves in the mirror everyday, we are the one's who walk in our shoes.... we know our story's......When people abandon you or devalue who you are, or people who walk in your life and now judge.... hold your head high.....know you are an everyday hero, know you walked in those shoes, lived your life, and looked in your own mirror daily on your journey, not the Judges~ I love ordinary, everyday heroes~ Diane Masi
One of the essential tasks for living a wise life is letting go. Letting go is the path to freedom. It is only by letting go of the hopes, the fears, the pain, the past, the stories that have a hold on us that we can quiet our mind and open our heart. We do not need to fear letting go. We can trust the courage and vulnerability of our heart to meet life as it is; we can rest kindly where we are. As we let go, the tender ground of honesty, healing and love will carry us through the very-changing world. ~ Jack Kornfield ~ When it comes time to let it go, let it go.
