My Children On Mothers Day By: Diane Masi

The best things In life are free, "things" never matter compared to the love & beauty of being a Mom to your children, and watching them grow. From the moment you carry them inside you you are connected, I was so exited to to meet them, not knowing who they would be, would they be male or female, just wanting health, waiting to enjoy them to watch them blossom. Tiny hands & bodies form into a person in a very short time. Every step of the way smiles, coos, feedings, teething, funny faces, how bigs, piggie toes, laughter. Rocking horses, toys, children's books & music, reading to them every night, singing songs all day. I remember my son's first Halloween at one, he sang all the way up the street swinging his pumpkin filled with treats, endless hallo-weens for all the kids, tractor rides, pumpkin farms....Pumpkins everywhere! I remember the tea parties of my daughters..... & endless love & hugs, and needing you so much from all. I remember endless swimming lessons from since babies, endless days at the pool, lunches, picnics at the park, fishing, soccer games, karate, baseball, softball, dance lessons, gymnastics, band, school plays, cheer leading, street hockey, skate boards, roller blades, learning to ride bikes, bike rides, frogs, turtles, fish, preying mantis, grasshoppers, potato bugs, lizards, a bird, a bunny, dogs, even a cat in high school. Dinner at the table every night, (no TV at that time) table football, movies, video games, pinata's, 4th of July's. Birthday parties, zoo's, amusement parks, trips to the creek, lake & ocean. Endless days of wondering what you could do next to have fun with your children, and enrich their lives, to light up their life. In giving of everything about yourself, what returns back to you Is you receive the greatest gift of love. You will defend fight & die for your children. When anyone brings any harm in words or action to your child, It is like a knife cutting your heart In two, the pain Is inexpressible~. When the teen years come you are so afraid for them, the worry Is horrifying when they start to venture on their own, after all they are your babies. The beautiful side to the teen years Is you can admire & respect the person you watched grow and blossom with your love, then they soon become adults, and the joy they bring is even greater, even though you miss the tiny feet, hands & body, that once depended on you, you still see that little person when you look at your adult child~ Being a Mom Is the greatest gift from God In this world, and I have been truly blessed with three of the most amazing children. Happy Mothers day to all....Diane Masi
