Palm Sunday Reflections By: Diane Masi

Sharing Palm Sunday Reflections: Yesterday I went to Palm Sunday Mass at my church, I was super tired and exhausted after work, but I will never miss those moments to be with God and reflect weekly no matter how sick or tired.

I often wondered as a child about the mysteries surrounding Christ, why so much pain and sorrow? I used to Wonder this too as an adult. By daily focusing on Christ's mysteries through meditation on the most Holy Rosary, during the week I have learned you go through the Birth & Joy (Joyful Mysteries) The suffering and Death (The sorrowful) and the Victory over Death (the Glorious) you learn a lot. I always feel bad going through the sorrowful mysteries because Christ suffered so much at the hands of Men, but It Is also a reminder to be more humble, and that you can walk through pain and be Victorious!

Yesterday while at Mass, of course the Passion of Christ Is read, so you take that walk with Christ to see him honored as a King (Hosanna) then betrayed and he brutally suffered, was beaten and killed by Men.... It always brings tears to my eyes to know how someone endured this pain for the sake of mankind. For the honor of God, Christ endured all this, so God could understand men. and their human faults. It teaches you compassion, much of which Is lacking in the world these days. So when you take that walk with Christ, you learn his teachings of Love, Joy, Peace, Compassion, Forgiveness, Hope, and Faith.

I often think how could people Honor a King one week and brutally beat him to Death the next. While listening to the Passion yesterday In particular, I always try to understand and Imagine Christ being, beaten with a whip, thorns pressed into his head, and enduring the burden of the cross, carrying while in all this pain, and then nailed to die. Yesterday I looked up at our amazing life size Christ In the glass window of the Church, the sun beaming across the flesh and muscles of a man with blood marks streaming and was In awe, I could feel the Holy Spirit come over me at this moment, and felt pure peace, and could not take my eyes off of the cross with the bright sun beaming on his body. and in his final words he still forgives: "Father forgive them they know not what they do"

Reflecting on what It all means this Palm Sunday and thought I would share this, Christ came to help God understand us, so the Wrath of God over our absurd behaviors could be forgiven through repentance, and we learn from Christ how we could be better as humans. Christ taught us to repent when we make mistakes, and seek God through prayer for the ultimate protection.

Christ was Victorious In the end, he will rise again on Easter In all his Glory and Beauty of Love, the most powerful of all wisdom's "LOVE." "We need to remember, celebrate and believe" (I will share that song) We need to be reminded weekly of how to walk In this life, to prepare for the next, everything Is not always of the world we see. The mysteries of Christ are so complex, and that Is why they are mysteries, I know I still believe, and I will never forsake him.

Happy Palm Sunday Everyone around the World~ We all need to live In Hope that we learn, and remember how we can make the world a better place for all~ "Hosanna In the Highest" ~Diane Masi
